Corps of Engineers at Harlan County Lake announces temporary closures

The US Army Corps of Engineers at Harlan County Lake has announced closures to parts of the Harlan County Dam Spillway and Project Office.

REPUBLICAN CITY - The US Army Corps of Engineers at Harlan County Lake has announced closures to parts of the Harlan County Dam Spillway and Project Office.

Access to the basin below the dam and parking areas in North and South campgrounds will be closed to the public from October 7th through October 25th.

On October 21st, the visitor center at the project office will be closed.

It will re-open on October 28th.

De-watering activities in the stilling basin below Harlan County Dam will also be conducted during this closure.

Salvage of game fish will be conducted by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission .
