SIDNEY – Jordan Hajek is seeking election as Cheyenne County Clerk.

“I first started as a clerk in the Assessor's Office in January 2019. I was promoted to deputy in 2020, and I ran for office, and was elected for my first term in January 2023.

She was appointed as interim Clerk following the retirement of Beth Fiegenschuh in December 2025.

“I am truly thankful that I had the opportunity to spend time with Beth, and learn from her,” she said

She said the role of county clerk is more than tracking documents.

“This position is more than just being part of organizations. It handles everything that comes through the courthouse. I have the privilege to take part in ideas and opportunities that involve the community and employees,” she said.

She said being involved with the county gives her the joy of giving back to the community she grew up in.

I would be delighted to continue my career as the Cheyenne County Clerk, putting employees and the community first ... always,” she said.

She said the courthouse will be a place for employees present and future to call home. She added she is excited to take part in everyone’s journey.
