Syracuse advances over Falls City in Subdist. C1-3

LOUISVILLE, NE - The Syracuse Rockets advanced in the Subdistrict C1-3 Girls Basketball Tournament on Monday, blasting the Falls City Tigers, 69-23, as heard on B103.

Syracuse launched out of the locker room, grabbing a 16-5 lead after the first quarter and boosting that to a 44-8 lead by break time. The Rockets had a balanced attack with both Bridget Donovan & Aubrey Tuxhorn hitting for eleven points, and three other Syracuse players dropping in eight apiece. Carly Dunkhas led Falls City with ten.

The Tigers' season ends with a record of 5-20, while the Rockets improved to 10-13. Syracuse will clash with host Louisville tonight at 5:45p on B103. On the other half of the bracket, Platteview and Palmyra will face off.
