GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — While many have enjoyed the warmer weather, others have seen its downsides.

Recent footage taken by storm spotter Jaden Pappenheim shows ice jams causing water levels to rise on the Platte River near Grand Island.

The National Weather Service has issued flood advisories for portions of Hall, Hamilton and Merrick counties through Monday evening. Some flooding has already occurred in low-lying pastureland and farmland adjacent to the Platte River.

Meanwhile, flood watches are still in effect in eastern Nebraska along the Elkhorn, Loup and Platte rivers due to the potential for additional ice jams to form.
