Hastings resident Donna R. Bond, 82, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at Good Samaritan Village-Perkins Pavillion, Hastings.

 

Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Micah Guant officiating. Burial will be at Sutton Cemetery at a later date. Book signing will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Donna was born July 20, 1943 to Raymond & Ramona (Carlson) Hurst in Sutton, Nebraska. She graduated from Sutton High School in 1961. Donna attended Joseph’s Beauty School and owned and operated Clip N Curl in Sutton for several years. Donna married Stanley Bond and to this union, two daughters were born. They eventually moved to Hastings where Donna opened her own daycare, Tumble In Nursery. She provided daycare services for 43 years.

 

Donna was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed yardwork, cooking, and cleaning. Donna loved playing Bingo and going out to eat. She loved her grandchildren very much. She especially enjoyed attending their sports activities and events.

 

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Ramona Hurst and her sister, Norma Zlomke.
