KEARNEY, Neb.— The UNK women’s golf team is breaking a school record by adding seven members to the All-American Scholar team.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association sponsors the squad with almost 1,500 golfers from over 400 schools. The schools range from Division I to III.

To qualify, a golfer must have a cumulative 3.50 GPA or higher and have played in 50% of their team’s regular scheduled competitive rounds through the team’s conference championship during the 2024-25 season.

The Lopers to make the team were graduate student Sophia Coleman, senior Juliana Botero Molina, juniors Beth Grant and Emmie Rhode, sophomores Claire Berquist and Liz Lyons and freshman Calie Dockter.

Each helped UNK qualify for NCAA Regionals for the sixth time in program history.

Botero is also a four-time qualifier with Grant making it for the third time and Lyons a repeat selection.
