Hastings hires Nebraska native as library director

The Hastings Public Library has made Kelly Reisig its new director.

HASTINGS, Neb.--- The Hastings Public Library has made Kelly Reisig its new director. 

 Coming from Wyoming, Reisig was formally a Benefits Manager for a beverage company. She does have experience as a library director, having served as the director for the Sidney-Richland County Library in Sidney, Montana.  

Reisig is originally from Alliance, Neb. and attended school in Nebraska at Chadron State College and the University of Nebraska Lincoln. 

"Serving as the Hastings Public Library Director is a dream come true,” she said. “My family can return to our home state, and I have the opportunity to do the work I love." 

According to the City of Hastings, city council members unanimously approved Reisig's appointment during their regular meeting on May 12.
