Free business coaching comes to Kearney as part of statewide support program

Entrepreneurs in Central Nebraska are getting the opportunity to receive free business coaching this week as part of a statewide program.

KEARNEY, Neb. - Entrepreneurs in Central Nebraska are getting the opportunity to receive free business coaching this week as part of a statewide program.

The Nebraska Business Development Center is setting up shop inside the Kearney welcome center for the next three days with the goal of helping connect local business owners to valuable resources.

The Omaha-based center is offering free services such as consulting, contracting opportunities, a look at market research and access to its SourceLink Nebraska platform.

Program director Scott Asmus is in Kearney to answer questions along with providing personalized plans to business owners.

"Our role with SourceLink Nebraska is to bring a unique set of resources to each entrepreneur or business owner that that works with us. We do that through what we call as a personal action plan and it's a custom list of resources, warm connections to our partners all over the state. We have connections to over 500 organizations with nearly a thousand resources," said Asmus.

SourceLink Nebraska officials will be in Kearney Tuesday through Thursday, and will be available for one-on-one coaching from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
