KEARNEY, Neb. --

A car crashing into a building on 2nd Avenue in Kearney Sunday afternoon sends one to the hospital.

The call went out at 1:50 p.m. for a vehicle crashing into a building at 17th St. and 2nd Ave. in Kearney where Intellicom is housed.

The car was heading south on 2nd and hit the guardrail a couple of times on the overpass, according to the Kearney Police Department.

At the bottom, it went through a sign at the Nebraska Coins and collectibles, bounced through the grassy area before hitting the north side of the building.

KPD tells News Channel Nebraska they believe it was caused by a medical condition. There was only one person in the vehicle and they were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
