HASTINGS, Neb. – The Jack Osborne Track Complex is fully renovated and is ready to once again host outdoor track and field events.

The $1.1 million renovation project began in August of 2024, and improved several different parts of the complex.

The home of the Men and Women's Hastings College Track and Field teams is named after Jack Osborne, who was inducted into the Hastings College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990.

Friday afternoon during the GPAC Championships, a ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m., officially signifying the completed renovations.

The new upgrades include:

- A resurfaced 400-meter, 8-lane track with high-performance material
- New long jump runway with dual landing pits
- New discus pad and net system
- Redesigned steeplechase area
- Seating for 500 spectators with new bleachers and concrete pads
- More than 900 feet of ADA-compliant sidewalks

With the new track, Hastings College is able to host the GPAC Championships for the first time since 2016.

Events began Friday afternoon at noon and will conclude on Saturday at 6 p.m.
