Iowa's Kaden Wetjen Honored as 14th Jet Award Recipient

OMAHA, Neb. — An Iowa Hawkeye officially holds the title of  "best return specialist in college football" for the 2024 season.<br/><br/>Kaden Wetjen was presented with the 14th annual Jet Award on Thursday night in front of hundreds at the Baxter Arena.

OMAHA, Neb. — An Iowa Hawkeye officially holds the title of "best return specialist in college football" for the 2024 season.

Kaden Wetjen was presented with the 14th annual Jet Award on Thursday night in front of hundreds at the Baxter Arena.

Wetjen led the country with 1,055 combined return yards last season. He led the FBS with 727 kick return yards and was second with 328 punt return yards.

The award is named in honor of Heisman Trophy winner and College Football Hall of Famer Johnny “The Jet” Rodgers

Wetjen was selected by a panel of voters, including media members from the Football Writers Association of America, former recipients of the Jet Award, and two of the award’s founders, Johnny Rodgers and William Reed.
