Pollari resigns as head women’s basketball coach at Wayne State

The Wayne State women's basketball program will be searching for a new coach following the resignation of Brent Pollari.

WAYNE, Neb. - The Wayne State women's basketball program will be searching for a new coach following the resignation of Brent Pollari. 

Wayne State College announced on Friday that Pollari has resigned as the head coach of the women's basketball team.

Pollari has led the Wildcats for seven seasons, and finished with an overall record of 75-103 and 50-94 in conference play.

This past season the team went 11-16, placing 10th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).

Athletics Director Mike Powicki said that the college will begin an immediate search for Pollari's replacement.

Wayne State is currently undergoing a $30 million renovation of its athletic and recreation facilities, with more improvements planned for the future.
