GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - Several coaching changes are in the works for Grand Island Senior High, GISH, with three new coaches and a resignation being announced by the district Tuesday.

Brittany Marr will serve as the newest head softball coach after being on the staff since 2022. She replaces Scott Galusha and also serves as a 5th grade teacher at Englemen Elementary. 

Montie Fyfe will be the new head girls basketball coach, replacing Kathryn Langrehr. Fyfe was on the coaching staff in the 1990's before returning in 2023. Fyfe also serves as the head boys track and field coach for the Islanders, he also leads a classroom as a Freshman Seminar teacher.

Braeden Mlinar is the new head volleyball coach for the Islander and has been on the coaching staff since 2023. Mlinar serves as a Resource Teacher for GISH.

The school is searching for two head coach vacancies following the departure of Jeremiah Slough, who has resigned as the boys head basketball coach and the girls golf coach.
