The Hastings Public Library has reopened its top position after the hiring of its new Library Director fell through.

HASTINGS, Neb. – The Hastings Public Library has reopened its top position after the hiring of its new Library Director fell through.
On Monday, the city of Hastings posted the job opening for 'Library Director' on its website.
A city spokesperson confirmed to NCN Wednesday that Brianna Weichel rescinded her acceptance of the position.
Weichel was approved as Library Director by the Hastings City Council during their Feb. 10 meeting, but she reversed her decision to accept later that week due to "personal reasons," according to the city.
The city has posted the Library Director position online, and applications are open until Mar. 25.
