KEARNEY, Neb. — Two people are behind bars after a drug and weapons bust in Kearney.

Three law enforcement agencies and the Tri Cities Drug Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of B Ave. in Kearney on Tuesday morning. A news release says officers found 15 guns, one pound of marijuana and more than $5,000 in cash. A small child was inside the house at the time of the raid.

Officers arrested 41-year-old Christopher Carter and 44-year-old Christina Carter. Christopher faces four charges including drug, weapons and child abuse offenses. Christina the same violations and an aiding and abetting charge. Police cited the 22-year-old mother of the small child for misdemeanor child abuse.

The Carters are lodged in the Buffalo County Jail.
