Cozad students raise tons of food for local pantry

The entire student body is credited with collecting 11,298.4 pounds of food and adding $2,675 in cash contributions, all of it going to the Cozad Food Pantry.

Students at Cozad Community Schools cooking up a strong showing of support for their community through the Cozad National Honor Society food drive this holiday season.

The entire student body is credited with collecting 11,298.4 pounds of food and adding $2,675 in cash contributions, all of it going to the Cozad Food Pantry.

The efforts were led by the seniors, who hauled in 7,290 pounds. Second place went to the freshmen class, who met and exceeded their goal with a weight of 1,1616.25. The sophomores came in third with a total of 1,268 and the juniors brought in 1,124.6 pounds.
