Crash near Wilcox claims one life, two others seriously injured

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in rural south-central Nebraska.

WILCOX, Neb. — A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in rural south-central Nebraska.

The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 10:15 Tuesday morning at the intersection of County Road 23 and County Road B, which is two miles east of Wilcox. According to a news release, emergency responders transported both drivers to a Kearney hospital with serious injuries. A male passenger died at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office says it will release more information after notifying the victim’s family and completing the investigation. The Nebraska State Patrol is leading the investigation.

The Wilcox Fire Department, Hildreth Fire and Rescue, Good Samaritan EMS and the Kearney County Roads Department all provided assistance at the scene.
