Hello! I’m Ryan and I come to Hastings from Lincoln, where I was born and raised.

In my first venture from outside the capital city, I wear many hats – I report news and sports, plus do play-by-play for Hastings area high school sports on KHAS Radio, as well as reporting news and sports for multiple radio stations in Kearney and Norfolk.

You can also occasionally see me on News Channel Nebraska reporting local and statewide news and sports coverage.

I graduated from Lincoln East in 2018, and then graduated from UNL in 2022 with a Sports Media and Communications degree.

In college, I called softball and baseball games for Big Ten Plus and KRNU Radio. My call on March 27, 2021 of Nebraska vs. Minnesota won me the ‘Best Live Sports Event’ award from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association.

Before Hastings, I spent a year interning and reporting for 10/11 News in Lincoln. I didn’t go to school to become a reporter, but here I am proudly telling the stories of Nebraskans.

In my free time, I enjoy watching baseball, scraping the web for new music, and of course spending time with my girlfriend, Gabby, and our two cats.
