HASTINGS, Neb. — Central Nebraska could be in for another day of severe weather.

The National Weather Service lists the area in a slight chance for severe weather, which is the second out of five risk stages. NWS officials say a round of thunderstorms on Saturday could bring golf-ball size hail and wind gusts over 60 mph. Tornadoes are not likely with these storms.

Forecasters say the storms are most likely to strike the area from 2:00-8:00 p.m.

If severe storms develop, Saturday would mark the third day in the last six days that the NWS Hastings Office issued severe weather warnings.
