GRAND ISLAND, Neb.-- April is Donate Life Month and in honor of it, CHI Health St. Francis hosted their annual Donor Remembrance Ceremony Friday.

This year, the hospital unveiled a donor memorial wall, which will display the names of people who have donated or received organs.

“It’s very important to me because I really want families of those who donate organs to know that while you went through that event and it was very stressful, you’re still being loved from the other side, you’re still being honored from the other side," organ and tissue donation team member Toni Nielsen said. "It also brings awareness to the cause of organ and tissue donation by having that memorial wall up for people to see as they come.”

People who would like to include the name of their loved one can contact St. Francis Donation.
