HASTINGS, Neb. – The Bluehawks are promoting Jared Prevette to Head Coach of the St. Cecilia Boys Basketball program.

He will replace former Head Coach Ryan Ohnoutka, who stepped down after the past basketball season. St. Cecilia finished with a 13-11 record.

Prevette is a 2019 St. Cecilia graduate, and was an assistant coach with the boys' program this past season.

“We are excited to have Coach Prevette accept this role and make the commitment to our school, students and program, he brings a high energy level and builds positive relationships with our student-athletes. He knows what it means to be a “Bluehawk” and the standards set before him.” said Activities Director Clint Head.

Prevette will begin his duties as Head Coach immediately.

“I am thrilled, beyond excited, and very blessed from our Lord, to have the opportunity to be offered, and accept, the Head Boys Basketball coaching position! I look forward to continue the tradition of physically tough STC Basketball, while starting my head-coaching career! Thank you for all of the support this past season, and I cannot wait to get started for the 24-25 season,” said Prevette.
