HASTINGS, Neb. -- Medica and News Channel Nebraska are encouraging good health and well-being across the state with Stretch Across Nebraska. The program is set up for people of all ages to send in a video or photo of their healthy activity and they could win a donation made, in their name, of $500 to the school of their choice.

Amber Reents, from Hastings, is the most recent winner after she submitted a photo of her doing yoga outside.

Reents captioned the photo with "The fresh air and the stillness cleanses my soul to begin a new day."

According to Reents, staying active is very important to her.

"As I get older, stretching feels good," Reents said. "It wakes my spirit, wakes my body after sleeping."

She encourages others that they can take care of their bodies without needing a membership or equipment to do so.

Reents is donating her $500 prize money to Adams Central Elementary School in the Hastings area.
