SHELTON, Neb. — They’re partying like it’s 1919 in Shelton.

The Bulldogs boys basketball team won its first state championship in more than 100 years on Saturday. Shelton beat Maywood-Hayes Center 54-42 to claim the D-2 crown.

The historic achievement led school officials to locate the trophies from their previous titles. The tall one is from 1918 and the shorter one is from 1919. Thanks to head coach Will Reutzel for sending us this photo and congratulations to the Bulldogs on the championship!
