Water main break at Kearney High School sends students home early

A broken water main at Kearney High School has caused students to be sent home early on Friday.

KEARNEY, Neb. – A broken water main at Kearney High School has caused students to be sent home early on Friday.

The school announced at 3:00pm that all indoor activities on Friday have been cancelled, but outdoor activities are still on as scheduled. 

School buses were promptly sent to the school to transport students home.

Where the water main broke, and why, is not clear and more information will come as the situation develops.
