Hastings College Men's Basketball wins GPAC regular season title
For the first time in 33 years, the Bronco Men's Basketball team can call themselves conference champions.
By News Channel NebraskaHASTINGS, Neb. – For the first time in 33 years, the Bronco Men's Basketball team can call themselves conference champions.
After Saturday's regular season finale 83-70 win against Doane, the Broncos finished GPAC Conference play with a 15-5 record. Concordia and Northwestern also finished 15-5, so all three schools are sharing the conference champion title.
Hastings will be the No. 2 seed in the GPAC Tournament which starts on Wednesday.
Their first opponent is Briar Cliff, who will come to Hastings for the GPAC quarterfinal matchup on Wed, Feb. 28 at 7:00 pm at Lynn Farrell Arena.
The Broncos and Chargers split their regular season series with the Home team winning both contests.
