CENTRAL Neb. – Kearney and Holdrege have been tabbed to host two of the 2024 Nebraska Legion Baseball tournaments in July and August.

Kearney will host the Class A Junior State tournament from July 27-31. (Sat-Wed) Kearney also hosted the Class A Junior State tournament in 2022.

"They do such a fantastic job here in Kearney with any tournament they have hosted," said Nebraska Legion Baseball Activities Director Jody Moeller on the Doug and Daddy Show. "They're willing to take that tournament every year if we gave it to them."

Holdrege will host the Class B Seniors State tournament from Aug 3-7. (Sat-Wed)

"Years ago we went to Holdrege a lot to fill in for tournaments if we had a gap somewhere," said Moeller. "Holdrege would raise their hand and take that tournament, so we didn't hesitate to go to Holdrege."

State tournaments are Class A, B, and C with each class having a separate tournament for junior and senior teams.

Other site hosts include Elkhorn and Lincoln who will host Class A Seniors, Waterloo-Valley for the Class B Juniors, Wakefield for the Class C Seniors, and Hartington for the Class C Juniors.
