Poor visibility forces Adams County snowplows off the streets until Tuesday morning
Due to poor visibility, the Adams County Roads Department is pulling their plows and motor-graders off the roads effective immediately as of Monday evening.
HASTINGS, Neb. – After receiving roughly 3-5 inches of snow throughout the morning and afternoon, Hastings' main arterial roads are slushy and slick, while side streets remain almost completely covered with snow.
Due to poor visibility, the Adams County Roads Department (ACRD) is pulling their plows and motor-graders off the roads as of Monday evening. A post from their Twitter account says they won't begin plowing until 7 am Tuesday morning.
Closures on Interstate-80 have also begun to pop up due to poor driving conditions
Snow is expected to taper off this evening, but weather reports say it could snow again later in the evening into the Tuesday overnight.
