Grand Island Regional Medical Center names new CEO

A new chief executive officer has been named at a hospital in Grand Island.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A new chief executive officer has been named at a hospital in Grand Island. 

According to a news release, Andrew Waterman will start serving as the new chief executive officer at Grand Island Regional Medical Center on Dec. 31.

He had been working as GIRMC chief operating officer since September 2022. Waterman served in the United States Army for 13 years. 

He has a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in healthcare management. The release said his expertise has led the center to become a Level 4 Trauma Center and to bring on 24/7 cardiovascular services.
