Shooting suspect arrested near Gothenburg

GOTHENBURG, Neb. -- A suspect in a Wyoming shooting was arrested near Gothenburg on Wednesday.

The Nebraska State Patrol said they were notified of a suspect that was wanted for her reported connection to a Wyoming shooting was traveling through Nebraska. The reported shooting was on Dec. 16.

Officials said a trooper saw a BMW SUV, the vehicle that the suspect was believed to be traveling in, at 10:20 p.m. The SUV was reportedly going west on Interstate 80, near Gothenburg.

According to authorities, a traffic stop was performed and the suspect was taken into custody. They arrested 28-year-old Victoria Tidball, of Wyoming, for a warrant related to the shooting investigation and was lodged in the Dawson County Jail.
