Hastings resident Mark A. Placke, 57, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 23, at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings with Rev. Greg Allen-Pickett officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation as Mark was cremated. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Mark was born September 18, 1966, in Hastings, NE to Dick and Wanda (Williams) Placke. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1984. Mark married Ronda Bell and they had one son, Kodey; they later divorced.

Mark loved his job of 20 years at Lifestyle Kitchens, they were like his family. He enjoyed watching Husker football, Miami Dolphins, NASCAR, and doing craftsman work. Mark was very proud of his only son, Kodey, and his granddaughter, Aurora. He loved them very much and Mark will be truly missed at Thanksgiving dinner.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Dick Placke; grandparents; and uncle, Don “Craig” Williams.
