Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to speak in Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - We still don't know many details, but Grand Island will be hosting a major national government official next week.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg plans to give a significant announcement about national rail safety and supply chain investments in Grand Island. Buttigieg will highlight how the administration is investing in rail and supply chains across the country.

The administration is working to implement the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. To date, $1.8 billion in funding is heading to Nebraska with over 212 specific projects identified for funding.
