Wayne St. tops UNK, both teams savor Volleyball Day in Nebraska experience

LINCOLN, Neb. - Two of Nebraska's Division ll programs were a part of history through Volleyball Day in Nebraska.

UNK and Wayne St. squared off in advance of the Huskers matched and showcased the high-level play at their level in the state. The Lopers scored the first five points of the match, but the Wildcats controlled things from there. Wayne State won all three sets to secure the win.

The match was just an exhibition for the D-ll teams. They both fly out Thursday morning to start their regular seasons.

UNK - 17, 17, 12
