Holdrege man in jail for sexual assault charges

A Holdrege man is staying in jail and facing multiple new charges.

HOLDREGE, Neb. -- A Holdrege man is staying in jail and facing multiple new charges. 

According to court documents, the latest charges brought to Brian Reeves Jr. are two counts of first degree sexual assault and assault by strangulation or suffocation. The incidents reportedly happened between April 28 and May 2 of this year. 

Reeves has been in jail and charged with multiple other charges in a separate case, including violating a protection order, false imprisonment, burglary, terroristic threats, tamper with witness, and intentional child abuse.

Between his different cases, Reeves total bond is set at $215,000 cash. He is currently lodged in the Buffalo County Jail.

His preliminary hearing is set for September.
