KEARNEY, Neb. -- A central Nebraska hospital is standing out for its overall hospital quality.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services awarded CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney with a five star rating, which is the highest mark given by the organization. The ratings system is designed to assist patients in comparing hospitals side-by-side. The more stars, the better the hospital performs on quality measures including mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience and timely and effective care.
Good Samaritan was one of only six acute care hospitals in Nebraska, and the only one west of Norfolk, to receive a five stars rating.
