Four people shot, one killed in northwest Omaha shooting

OMAHA, Neb. -- One person is dead after a shooting in northwest Omaha on Saturday.

Just after 8:00 p.m., Omaha Police officers were dispatched to a reported shooting near 90th and Blair High Road.

OPD officers said they believed the shooting happened after a fight broke out in a parking lot where people had allegedly been gathered for street racing.

Four people were shot and hospitalized, including the alleged suspect.

According to OPD, 21-year-old Tristan Vincent later died as a result of his injuries.

OPD says the suspect was identified as 22-year-old Austin Petersen. The department said he would be booked for manslaughter and use of a weapon to commit a felony once he is released from the hospital.
