Kearney Police make arrest in armed robbery case
Police say they have arrested a man who they believe assaulted and robbed a person in Kearney.

KEARNEY, Neb. — Police say they have arrested a man who they believe assaulted and robbed a person in Kearney.
Kearney Police say officers arrested Ronnie Swartz, 26, on Thursday night. They believe he broke into a home in the 1700 block of Avenue E around 2:30 Thursday morning. A previous news release said the victim told police he was robbed inside his home at gunpoint and assaulted by two men, one Black and one white. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The release said the suspects took personal items from the home and left. Investigators believe the people involved know each other and it wasn’t a random incident.
Officers arrested Swartz on a warrant for robbery.
