NORFOLK, Neb. -- Norfolk Catholic is back on the winning track after a big fourth quarter propelled the Knights to a 51-30 boys basketball win over rival Battle Creek.
The Knights outscored the Braves 19-6 over the final frame to hold off a Battle Creek team that remained within striking distance for most of the evening.
Karter Kerkman scored a season-high 18 points, including 11 in the first half as the Knights rebounded from a tough loss to Wayne a night prior. The loss ended Battle Creek's two-game winning streak.
The Knights, now 6-3, will play at Scotus on Tuesday. Battle Creek is now 4-5 and will travel to take on West Point Tuesday.
