Police make arrest related to Minden burglary and car theft

One person is in custody in a case involving a burglary and a stolen vehicle.

MINDEN, Neb. -- One person is in custody in a case involving a burglary and a stolen vehicle.

On Wednesday, the Minden Police Department received a report of a burglary in progress in Auto Way Bowl.

When police arrived, they found a glass door had been broken and the business had been ransacked. It was reported that several items were missing and damaged.

Later on Wednesday morning, police said they got a report of a stolen vehicle. 

Officers reportedly tracked it down, linked it to the earlier burglary and identified 21-year-old Yorick Wilson as a suspect. Police said they arrested him nearby for three outstanding warrants.

The Minden Police Department said they are continuing to investigate the incidents and additional charges may be added.
