KEARNEY, Neb. - Kearney High is announcing an early dismissal at 11:00 a.m Monday in response to nationwide technical difficulties with the ACT testing platform.

Officials say the Hanny Arram Center for Success has remained unaffected and testing will continue as scheduled at that site.

"With the extended delays and technical disruptions, we do not believe today’s conditions offer students the opportunity to perform at their best," said the Kearney High School administration.

The ACT for Kearney High School sophomores and juniors has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 16 when freshmen and seniors will not have school.

Students who started testing today will have their assessments voided with a new session available next week.

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the community's understanding as we navigate this unexpected disruption," the administration stated.

Transportation for special education students will operate as scheduled, but no additional transportation will be provided.

All extracurricular activities and practices will proceed as planned.
