Nebraska voter turnout at 53%: high numbers in Clay County, low in Hall, Dawson counties
53% of Nebraska's registered voters turned out to participate in yesterday's general election.

KEARNEY, NE — 53% of Nebraska's registered voters turned out to participate in yesterday's general election.
That number falls well short of the Secretary of State's prediction of 58%, which was also the turnout in the 2018 election. It remains significantly higher than turnout rates in midterm elections in 2014 and 2010.
10,496 Adams County residents voted, or 54%. 52% of Buffalo County residents voted and only 45% turned out in Hall County. Clay County posted the highest voter turnout in the area and was among the highest in the state at 69%. Hall County’s turnout rate was the sixth lowest and Dawson County’s was third-lowest among Nebraska’s 93 counties.

Buffalo - 16,180, 52.4%
Clay - 2,845, 68.57%
Custer - 4,470, 57.45%
Dawson - 5,650, 41.5%
Hall - 15,428, 45.34%
Hamilton - 2,509, 54.4%
Howard - 2,509, 54.4%
Kearney - 2,592, 56.94%
Merrick - 3,426, 66.67%
Phelps - 3,746, 60.57%
