BLOOMFIELD - The hometown Bees made a statement in the opening round of their 35th straight postseason appearance, routing Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family 88-0.

Wiley Ziegler (130 total yards) set the tone in the 1st quarter, scoring two of his four TDs on the night and helping stake Bloomfield to a 40-0 lead at the end of the initial period.

Six different Bees found the end zone on the night, as Bloomfield built a 66-0 halftime lead. Freshman Brock Jeannoutot made big contributions, with 164 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Bees D harassed Bulldogs QB Gavin Groteluschen all night, sacking him 5 times and grabbing 3 interceptions, including a pick six by his counterpart Braden Guenther.

Bloomfield (8-1) hosts Osceola (8-1) in the 2nd round of the playoffs next Friday.
