RED CLOUD, Neb. -- The current Webster County Law Center serves as both a jail and the Webster County Sheriff's Department Office.

It was built in the late 1880s and is showing signs of deterioration, beyond the point of a renovation,.

County officials have been making a push to see a new Justice Center come into the picture and replace the old Law Center.

The proposed building would house the Sheriff's Office as well as four to five jail cells, used as a 96-hour holding facility.

In order to make the plans official, Webster County residents must vote to pass the bond issue on the November election ballot.
