Hastings College inviting grade school students to join new Bronco Stampede program

HASTINGS, NE — Hastings College is inviting area middle and high school students to join a new program that gives free access to college events.
The school unveiled the Bronco Stampede program on Wednesday. It provides middle and high school students from Adams Central, Hastings Public Schools and St. Cecilia with free admission to regular season athletic contests, music performances, theatre production and art gallery exhibitions.
“We’re celebrating our 140th year as a college, and appreciate the partnership we have between the community and the College,” said Dr. Annette Vargas, vice president for student access, enrollment and performance. “Bronco Stampede is one way to recognize and celebrate that.”
A news release says the college gave Bronco Stampede informational cards to the schools, which will then distribute them to students. The students can show their Bronco Stampede ticket at any event and all fees will be waived.
