HASTINGS, NE — The City of Hastings is encouraging people to help it craft its new comprehensive plan by using a new website.

Hastings launched the page on Wednesday at cityofhastings.org/compupdate. The city will use the site to announce in-person engagement opportunities and host digital engagement tools, including the Crowdsource Photography and Mapping section. That feature allows people to share their views of Hastings by uploading photos. It lets them describe the locations and what they like or dislike in the photo. The map also allows people to add comments to pinpoints that mark places like a favorite park or a spot where a road needs improved.

The city says it will post surveys to the page as the plan development process advances.

The consultants working on the plan will be at Kool-Aid Days on Saturday to talk with locals.
