Grand Island home riddled with bullets during shooting incident
Police in Grand Island are searching for a suspect after a home was riddled with bullets.
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Police in Grand Island are searching for a suspect after a home was riddled with bullets.
The shooting happened just after midnight Thursday, on West 14th Street.
Grand Island Police said an on-duty officer was about five blocks from the scene when it happened and heard up to a dozen rounds fired.
Police do not believe the home was shot intentionally, and that the suspect's target was either on foot or in a car.
Those involved fled before police arrived.
The home had multiple bullet holes, some of which penetrated the house. Multiple gun shell casings were also found on the front lawn.
No injuries have been reported and the investigation is ongoing.
