Hastings College’s 136th Commencement set for Saturday, May 14

Hastings College will be having its 136th Commencement Saturday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Lynn Farrell Arena on campus.

HASTINGS, Neb. -- Hastings College will be having its 136th Commencement Saturday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Lynn Farrell Arena on campus.

The Commencement will be open to graduates and the media are invited to attend.


In a press release Hastings College said that during the ceremony, the College will award undergraduate degrees to approximately 175 students, and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees to seven students.


The Student Speaker will be graduating senior Holly Bosley, a biology and psychology major from Longmont, Colorado.

Bosley played on the women's soccer team and is a member of the Beta Beta Beta biology honorary and Alpha Chi. She was named to the college's Who's Who list at Honors Convocation this spring. Bosely was a dean’s list student, a resident assistant, co-founder of Hope120, campus tour guide and a Homecoming silver court selection. She has accepted a position with the Hastings College Human Performance team as a GA after three years as an intern. She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Clifford Bosley, and sister of Alice and Ross Bosley.

The College's Baccalaureate services start at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 13. It will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Hastings.

The press release said that both the Commencement and the Baccalaureate will be live-streamed on the College's YouTube channel.
