HASTINGS, Neb. -- Severe weather came back to Nebraska Friday, just a day after the first round of storms, and it left a mark.

With no more active tornado warnings or severe thunderstorm warnings, much of the state now heads into the weekend soaked, windblown and covered in hail.

For the second straight night, much of central and eastern Nebraska was pelted by hail. Several tornado warnings, along with trained-spotter-noted funnel clouds, peppered central, southeast, east central and northeast Nebraska.

Boone, Madison, Platte, Butler, Gage and Jefferson Counties are all under flood advisories overnight, with Madison and Platte still under a flood warning that began the night prior.

Reports from trained weather spotters in Madison County indicated that Union Creek near Highway 81 by Madison is currently close to overflowing. Madison and Platte Counties faced severe flooding on Thursday and remain in a flood warning until at least Saturday.

Gage County is also seeing flash flooding.

Power outages were also hitting several parts of Nebraska, including nearly 1,400 NPPD customers affected in Fillmore County by 9:00 PM CT.
