Child injured after concrete is thrown at car; Suspect arrested
A central Nebraska man remains behind bars for throwing concrete at a car over the weekend.
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- A central Nebraska man remains behind bars for throwing concrete at a car over the weekend.
39-year-old Sigredo Navarro, of Grand Island, was arrested for first-degree assault, use of a deadly weapon and criminal mischief.
Police were responding to a suspicious call Saturday night on North Custer.
According to police, Navarro was carrying a chunk of concrete and threw it through a car's window, shattering it.
A 9-year-old in the backseat was hit and sustained multiple fractures and a concussion.
Police are still working to determine if Navarro knew the victims.
