Grand Island family escapes injury as house suffers extensive fire damage

No one was injured in a Grand Island house fire late Sunday night.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- No one was injured in a Grand Island house fire late Sunday night.

The Grand Island Fire Department was called to the scene in the 1200 block of Warren Lane just after 10:00 p.m. 

A family of four was inside the residence at the time, but everyone was able to escape uninjured. The fire took around 10 minutes to put out, according to GIFD.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, though it is believed to be electrical in nature.

The damage is estimated at around $20,000.
