Sawyer Brown, Chase Rice to headline Buffalo County Fair
KEARNEY, NE — The Buffalo County Fair is bringing major country acts to Kearney this summer.
The Buffalo County Fairgrounds announced on Friday that Sawyer Brown and Chase Rice will perform as concert headliners during this year’s fair. Sawyer Brown will perform on Thursday, July 21 and Rice will follow on Friday, July 22. Both shows are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at the Landmark Implement Arena.
Tickets for both shows will go on sale on April 8 at 10:00 a.m. Sawyer Brown tickets are $20 and Chase Rice tickets will range from $20-$55 plus fees.
Sawyer Brown started as a country act in 1981 and has been performing ever since. The quartet has released 18 studio albums and registered three number one singles: “Step That Step”, “Some Girls Do” and “Thank God for You.” Three of Sawyer Brown’s original members, including singer Mark Miller, are still with the band.
Chase Rice is fresh off the release of his fifth studio album last May. The 36-year-old former college football player and NASCAR pit crew member has eight songs which have charted in the top 40 of the US Hot Country charts. “Ready Set Roll”, “Eyes on You” and “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.” each reached the top five of the country charts.
